Carreg Miaong

Emily and I tried to walk over to Craig yr Ysfa but the ridiculous November weather was so warm and still that the rocks were too wet with dew. Instead, we wandered across to Carreg Miaong and sweated our way up Biceps Wall and a few other routes. Quite unbelievable, can't remember the last time it was this warm in November!

Tajikistan Muzkol Expedition

Two weeks spent trying to climb a long, unclimbed ridgeline in a cool little valley in central Tajikistan. Challenging climbing at above 5000m that resulted in several new routes but the complete traverse remains to be claimed!

Bristly Ridge Winter

A clear day down low but blustery and snowy up high. Clay, Emily and I went for a day out up Bristly Ridge, plastered in unconsolidated snow which was great fun to romp through. On top, the weather was significantly more windy and we stumbled back down the scree slopes after a quick trip to the summit. Photos courtesy of Clay & Emily.

Ice at La Crémerie

Two short trips to the icefalls at La Crémerie which were sadly almost entirely banked out for my whole week in Chamonix. Thanks to local climbing ninja Emily Roo for showing me the way round!
