Gimmer at Kendal Mountain Festival

Ross, Clay and I woke up to a beautiful dusting of snow on the hills so we skipped the films and headed straight for Langdale and the short walk in to Gimmer. The wind was still but the air was super cold so we didn't feel up to anything too taxing and eventually opted for 'A' route. Clay even got hot aches in his foot, poor guy.

Avon Gorge with Jess

In the middle of a damp week Jess and I managed a sneaky couple of classic Avon Gorge routes. Giant's Cave Buttress was very windy, particularly whilst pulling around the corner of the final pitch in full spectator view! Gronk was an equally great route which I'd never climbed before and we pretty much had the whole gorge to ourselves for the day.

Carreg Miaong

Emily and I tried to walk over to Craig yr Ysfa but the ridiculous November weather was so warm and still that the rocks were too wet with dew. Instead, we wandered across to Carreg Miaong and sweated our way up Biceps Wall and a few other routes. Quite unbelievable, can't remember the last time it was this warm in November!
