The Dewerstone
This is a really great crag. Soaring out of the trees with excellent rock and what looks like a selection of great multipitch routes. We climbed Climber's Club Ordinary (Classic Rock, naturally), but I'll definitely be back.

On my annual winter trip to visit Will in Aberdeen, we decided to follow Simon Richardson's advice and chase the ephemeral over to Jenga Buttress on Creagan Coire Cha-no. In proper Scottish conditions I was thankful for Maverick to help us locate the abseil. The route and crag fully deserves a trip over from the car park although it is not recommended if grade III is your limit - as our two hours stood on a belay behind a somewhat nervous party ahead will testify!
Despite making dozens of trips to North Wales, none of us had ever heard of this little scramble and hill, tucked away behind the Nantlle Ridge. It makes an excellent day out, with some superb, airy steps across the pinnacles of the ridgeline.
Cat, Louise and I tried to make a start on Dolmen Buttress but the extensive coverage of soft snow on the ledges was making progress pretty spicy. So we abseiled off and went for a scramble up Main Gully instead, a reliable route for all conditions with a heave over the chockstone as exciting as ever!
