A weekend trip across the Irish Sea and a spectacular day visit to the top of Northern Ireland with Erinna and her parents. Two hours from sea front to summit and another two down, good going for her Mum and Dad!
Today we had more success and managed two (quite easy) routes at Carreg Wastad. With the car thermometer reading 3 degrees it was clearly the weather for some Classic Rock routes. It isn't often you are the only climbers in the Pass!
Clay and I set off with good intentions in the morning but it was far too cold and biting to contemplate a long rock route on Tryfan's East face. Instead, we nipped up the north ridge scramble and took a lap around back to the car. Chilly.
