Gamskarkogelhütte

Cat, Louise and I rounded off the weekend with a two day trip to the Gamskarkogelhütte on the very summit at 2467m. Snow shoes were not obligatory, but proved very helpful on the large snowy slopes during the approach. In fact, the winter room door was completely covered by late-season snow, requiring a jump in through the upper window to get inside.

Loser Klettersteig

The hilariously named Loser mountain has by far my favourite Klettersteig to date. The Panorama-Klettersteig Sisi features super steep faces, tonnes of exposure and great views across to the Dachstein glacier behind.

Adlerspitze

Cat and Louise came to visit for the weekend! We began our multi-activity adventures on the Adlerspitze, whizzing up the Normalweg to have the summit to ourselves before the crowds arrived.

Laufener Hütte

Winter hike in the powder up to Laufener Hütte with Cat and Louise. We only got lost once.

Haytor

A day out to Dartmoor with Cat and Louise for some acrobatic routes on the windy side of Low Man. We ran up Raven Wing and then fell off of Outward Bound a couple of times before heading home. All ascents are easier in lycra.

Bristol Street Race

Something different, Cat, Louise and myself ran the Bristol Orienteering Street Race in the morning which Erinna was helping to organise. Despite our initial fears, we avoided all of the purple lines and nobody got disqualified!
